Yoga Stretch is simply stretching and is our most popular class. We start with the head and move through the entire body. We focus on balance, breath, alignment, strengthening, and lengthening the limbs. This class is perfect for any ability level and can be modified as needed.
This class is a gentler take on our vinyasa classes.
Vinyasa is an active class where we practice Sun Salutations combined with a series of sequences meant to increase flexibility, strength, and stamina. This class will utilize the body's natural internal heater by activating the large muscles in the body and then continue at a constant flow. We will explore holding our poses for a longer period of time and enjoy an extended final relaxation at the end of class.
Intermediate Flow incorporates energetic movement through a series of asanas (yoga postures), by which the student experiences a sense of fluid physical motion. Movement through these postures is matched with the breath, creating an even greater sense of flow, strength, ease and tension release.
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga, the poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, its goals are awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality.
Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing class that utilizes blocks, bolsters, chairs, sandbags, and straps throughout the class. The poses are supported and held for 5-10 minutes each in order to deeply stretch and release tension.
Senior stretch focuses on gentle stretching that targets major muscle groups, joints, and areas prone to stiffness and tightness. This class is designed to improve flexibility, balance, and overall physical and mental well-being at a slower pace.
Vinyasa is a challenging class. We practice Sun Salutations combined with challenging sequences meant to increase flexibility, strength, and stamina. This class is heated and fast paced and will explore inversions and arm balances.
Mindfulness meditation is a mental training practice that teaches you to slow down racing thoughts, let go of negativity, and calm both your mind and body. Mindfulness techniques can vary, but in general, mindfulness meditation involves a breathing practice and awareness of body and mind.
Yoga Nidra, also known as “yogic sleep” is a meditation technique that supports deep relaxation. In this class you will be guided through a detailed sleep meditation that will allow your mind and body to slip into a deep state of relaxation. The brain will switch from beta to alpha waves, signaling the transition from activity to meditation. Receive deep rest and restoration in this extremely healing practice that is done entirely lying down.. Yoga Nidra can help lower blood pressure and reduce anxiety.
